Jackfruit is a large starchy fruit of approximately 10 to 20 kilos. The oval shaped green fruit has thick thorny skin. When you remove the skin, you can see the jackfruit contains many small yellow bulbs. The yellow flesh of the jackfruit is sweet and has a very specific fruity aroma. The small yellow bulbs contain long edible seeds. The taste is comparable to that of a chestnut.
